Debunking Christianity: Sin: An Imaginary Problem with an Invented Solution

Sin= nothing!

Sin does not exist! Thus, babies cannot sin. None can sin.
Sin means missing the mark, coming short of God's commandments. But  ever were there God, that would mean nothing, because morality counts, not His commands! What passes as His commands are the  evil-notions of miserable, mean-spirited misanthropes!
The  people blasting babies as evil-minded betray humanity with that bit of misanthropy. Those people merit great derision. They do wrong with their baby- guidance.
Yes, the whole notion of sin merits derision and mockery!
Putative God would have no authority over us nor could judge and send us to Hell, because morality declares that! Morality informs us not to treat people as "things," so putative God  would have no right to  give us purpose! What a travesty and blasphemy against humanity  when Paul prattles that we are pottery, and He is the potter!
Over the eons, humanity has refined its moral sense; no outpouring of divine guidance for updating divine commands exists.-  no divine progressive morality
The Tanakh, the Testament, the Qur'an and other religious scriptures reek of misanthropy.
Thus, rational people should objurgate them all!.
" Life is its own validation and reward and ultimate meaning to which neither God nor the future state can further validate."
Albert Ellis' " The Myth of Self-Esteem" and Robert Prices " The Reason -Driven Life" tell us how to have that more abundant life. We mainly do good most of the time.
Philosopher and atheist,  Michael Ruse, does humanity a disservice with his uniting evolution and original sin and other matters. Never did a Fall occur.
Flee from those books of hate!

Humanists and Newtown

Humanists can offer solace without proffering superstition. Just being there can be enough. One can say good things about the  deceased. No need exists to whine about the putative future state!
We make our own meanings and purposes without need for divine purpose and divine love, and this single life suffices. Diivne purpose means only that we are just " things" to which our  potter gives meaning and purpose. What a pellucid travesty of humanity!
We should help others to overcome the superstitious need, the " mustabatory" one that they need that divine purpose and the future state. Yes, some are in such dire misery that ti's hard to help them to live as well as possible, but that superstition is a lie!
We don't need to abuse any  with why do you believe in that superstition should they already believe.
People should heed what Albert Ellis in " The Myth of Self-Esteem" and Robert Price in " The Reason-Driven Life. Ellis coins in his book the term mustabatory as any putative need that really is overdrawn. Don't whine.
What would you as a humanist advise?

Why gnu atheism?

The previous article exhumes part of the reason for gnu atheism- the unfounded attack on atheism! And those evils listed plus the priests' molestations, the affirmation of death by urging nations not to practice population control and discouraging the use of condoms and others irk us.
And the apologetics for religion irk us. Religionists' scriptures fail the test of reality. Arguments for the supernatural fail. Such woo propels us to combat religions.
We've the right and duty to educate others about the wrongs and the dogmas of religions. We combat it as we combat the paranormal. Why, as the late Paul Kurtz notes, the supernatural and the paranormal are twin superstitions -" The Transcendental Temptation."
Others so wrongly fault us for being so outspoken; we educate for rationality, dismissing all superstition for putting people on the wrong road to that more abundant life.
For us, naturalism is lively, forced and momentous not only for us but for all!
William James thus, was a woo-enabler!

We honor free expression, education and reason with our views against religion.

As societies prosper, fewer and fewer people will be religious, and as our evangel of reason goes forth, all will win.
  Any dissent?

Lamberth's Rants: How to be a psychic | Digital Bits Skeptic

Lamberth's Rants: How to be a psychic | Digital Bits Skeptic

I declare!

I hold that the Vatican has a moral compass considering economic issues: it upholds the Nanny State but otherwise it should die out.
It opposes condom use, meaning it implicitly wants people to get AIDS and such! It opposes population reduction and  meaningful sex education.
It has massive wealth that could help the poor.
It discriminates against females by not having them in the clergy.
It harms them with its  pro-enforced pregnancy stance.
It harmed childten with its pro- clergy stance instead of helping them
It validates falsely miralces, depending on its faith-based experts. Skeptics find the ex perts wrong.
It supports the Bible, which has no value whatsoever, with its internal and external contradictions and its mainly false history and its use for  original sine and the Atonement. What misanthropy and blood lust!
Its arguments for Diety are fallacious.   As with any other religion, people can get inspiraton and solace elsewhere
It does support evolution but obfuscationally..
Voltaire and Fr.Meslier would have agreed heartily!
